She was a native of Mississippi and had lived in Jacksonville since 1925. She was the widow of the late William Henry Bivin and her parents were John Paul and Mary Alice (Sumrall) Williams. She was one of the last few remaining World War I widows and a direct descendent of Pushmataha, Mingo Chief of the Choctaw Nation and Chief of the Five Civilized Tribes. Read More	Excerpts from her obituary from the Florida Times Union, 10/15/08: Wilma Lee (Williams) Biven, 100 years of age, died eleven days before her 101st birthday in Fernandina Beach, Florida. She was a native of Mississippi and had lived in Jacksonville since 1925. She was the widow of the late William Henry Bivin and her parents were John Paul and Mary Alice (Sumrall) Williams. She was one of the last few remaining World War I widows and a direct descendent of Pushmataha, Mingo Chief of the Choctaw Nation and Chief of the Five Civilized Tribes. She lived in her home until aged 96 and was known in her neighborhood for her love of gardening and sewing. She was politically active all of her life. A member of the Main Street Baptist Church she served as a teacher and choir mother and was proud that her two daughters and six grandchildren all became productive members of society. She described her life's journeys as a good one. Survivors include two daughters, four grandsons and two grandaughters. She had many great grandchildren and one sister and many loved nieces and nephews. One daughter, Joan Doris Biven, preceded her in death. She will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery by her husband, William Henry Bivin and her daughter, Joan Doris Bivin.
