Watt, 86 of Frontenac died at 11:31 a.m. Tuesday October 22, 2013 at the Medicalodge Nursing Home in Frontenac. She was born January 25, 1927 in Garland, KS the daughter of Robert and Eva (Snow) Simons. Wilma attended Arcadia schools and was a graduate of Arcadia High School. Wilma married Glen Watt on February 1st, 1945 in Arcadia; he survives at the home. She worked for nearly 20 years as a secretary for Dickey Clay Manufacturing Company in Pittsburg retiring in 1989. Wilma was a member of the Frontenac United Methodist Church. She enjoyed dancing and playing pinochle. She was an active part in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and Glen enjoyed traveling, visiting nearly all 50 states. They also enjoyed simple rides in the country around the Arcadia/Garland areas. Survivors include her husband Glen of the home; son Bob Watt of Arma; daughter Glenna Powers of Gaylord, MI; 5 Grandchildren Christy Smith (Danny), Leah McManis (James), Erika Ramfos (Angelo), Jessica O'Conner (John), Katy Brunet; and 13 Great-grandchildren-Taylor, Tanner, Macie, Maia, Zane, Kyle, Ellie, Madison, Jordan, Acacia, Jacob, Jillian and Jonah. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers Bill and Bob Simons. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday October 25th at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac with Pastor Blair Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday. Condolences can be sent to www.friskelfuneralhome.com Memorial contributions can be made to the Watt Family Trust in order to assist with scholarship's to further the education of Wilma's great-grandchildren.
