Huddleston, formerly Mina Price, daughter of Cornelius and Hannah Price, was born in Fairmount, Indiana, November 11, 1871 and departed this life December 28, 1929 at Mt. Auburn in her cottage home, aged 58 years, 1 month and 18 days. She was united in marriage to Charley H. Huddleston at Summitville, Indiana, in the year of 1900 and to this union was born two sons, Kenneth of Dayton, Ohio and Henry of Cambridge City, Indiana, both of which survive her. She was converted in her youth and was a faithful member of the Baptist church until her marriage, and coming to Dublin to make her future home, soon after united with the United Brethren church and was a faithful and devoted Christian in all the activities of the church, until her home church was revived at Cambridge City, Indiana, when in the year of 1914 she again united with the Baptist church, which she dearly loved. She was a devoted and helpful member, always in attendance of all services, when at all practical. At the time of her death she was superintendent of the Home Department work of the Sabbath school, and also taught a class of young people in the main school, and would not miss meeting her class only in case of sickness. She manifested great interest in all missionary work. In the social circles of life she greatly endeared herself to all who knew her. Mina was especially industrious, looking after the family and all intrusts [sic] of the home. As a neighbor, she was very obliging and ready to accommodate any that needed her love or help. Our first acquaintance with her was at Summitville. When we traveled that circuit she was often in the congregation and gave inspiration to the truth of the gospel and greatly endeared herself to us. Her father and sister, Jainey, proceeded [sic] her in death. She leaves to mourn their loss, husband 2 sons, Kenneth of Dayton, Ohio, and Henry of Cambridge City, Indiana and two dear little granddaughters, Bettie Louise and Callie Winivere, mother, one brother, one sister and many other relatives, and a host of friends. But our loss is her eternal gain, for she now wears the crown of righteousness, which the Lord hath given her as a recompense of reward. She is laid to rest in the South Lawn cemetery to await the glorious resurrection morning, when this mortality shall put on immortality and this corruption shall put on incorruption, and she shall have a glorified body like unto the Son of God. The funeral services were held at the grave on account of dying with smallpox. Her Pastor preached a short discourse from the text. She hath done what she could. St. Mark, 14th chapter, 8 verse and assisted by Rev. Howard Brown, Pastor of the U. B. Church at Dublin. Written by Anna M. Lawrence."
