Services were conducted by the Rev. John Roggen and burial was made in the Sioux Center Community cemetery under the direction of the Co-operative Funeral home. Mrs. Schoep was born December 16, 1878, on a farm west of Sioux Center. The former Wilmina Mouw, she was married to John Schoep September 2, 1879, at the home of her parents. The couple farmed five miles west of Sioux Center for 42 years. They retired and moved to Sioux Center in 1939. Her husband died February 19, 1955. Mrs. Schoep was a member of the Senior Ladies Aid of the First Reformed church. Survivors include five sons, Ben of Hull, Iowa, Neal of Hospers, John of Maynard, Minn., William of Sioux Center, and Gerrit of Rock Valley; four daughters, Mrs. Floyd Van Kley of Bellflower, Calif., Mrs. Neal Van Beek of Sioux Center, Mrs. John I. Van Der Schaaf of Maurice, Iowa, and Mrs. Henry Van Der Schaaf of Chicago. Rock Valley Bee 1965-04-11 (partly).
