Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Betty Dale Kite Hyatt and son of the late Tainie Walter Hyatt and Mattie Lou Skinner Hyatt. Mr. Hyatt was the owner/operator of Hyatt’s Body Shop, retired from Boren Brick, was a U. S. Air Force veteran, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Betty Dale Kite Hyatt and son of the late Tainie Walter Hyatt and Mattie Lou Skinner Hyatt. Mr. Hyatt was the owner/operator of Hyatt’s Body Shop, retired from Boren Brick, was a U. S. Air Force veteran, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He loved sports, football, especially Clemson Tigers, loved Nascar and playing bingo. Surviving is a son, Ronnie Hyatt of Gaffney; five daughters, Connie Bolf, Barbara Hyatt and Pamela Hyatt, all of Gaffney, Sandra Kenan of Willard, N.C. and Sherri Hyatt Bohn of Simpsonville; 7 grandchildren, Kasey Short, Sloane McDonough, Sydney Medley, Celeste Bohn, Jeb Bohn, Bonnie Hyatt and Travis Hyatt; 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ann Talley and two granddaughters, Brandi Hyatt and Brittney Kenan. he family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Blakely Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Frederick Memorial Gardens with Rev. Alester McKinney and Rev. David Ervin officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Christian Collectivity to Reach Other’s Needs, Inc., P.O. Box 17676, Greenville, S.C. 29606.
