He was born Oct. 6, 1916, in Enfield, a son of William L. and Daisy Mae (Jipson) Wilson. Woodrow was a devoted husband to his wife for 69 years, Marion (Phinney) Wilson. He worked for many years as a woodworking supervisor at a woods products mill, and went on to make many friends as he developed his business of sharpening saws, lawn mowers, knives, scissors, as well as tractor mowing and garden plowing. He was born Oct. 6, 1916, in Enfield, a son of William L. and Daisy Mae (Jipson) Wilson. Woodrow was a devoted husband to his wife for 69 years, Marion (Phinney) Wilson. He worked for many years as a woodworking supervisor at a woods products mill, and went on to make many friends as he developed his business of sharpening saws, lawn mowers, knives, scissors, as well as tractor mowing and garden plowing. For several years, Woodrow maintained the Methodist Church clock. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and taking trips to Mattamiscontis Stream with Marion. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Thurlow and Lowell of Bath and Connie Hinkley and William of Brunswick; a brother, Durwood C. Wilson and Judy of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Logan and David C. Thurlow; two stepgrandchildren, William F. Hinkley and Amy Winter; three great-grandchildren, three great-stepgrandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, George Wilson; and a sister, Marguerite Knights. Woodrow's family thanks the staff of Colonial Health Care and Dr. Alessi for their compassionate care. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, folks may donate to the Activities Fund, Colonial Health Care, P.O. Box 70, Lincoln, ME 04457 or the United Methodist Church, 16 Lee Rd., Lincoln, ME 04457.
