Yvonne was born July 3, 1921 in Snyder, NE to Will and Edna Fuller. She attended schools in Nebraska and after graduation from high school, she married Myrl George on March 24, 1939. Read More	Yvonne George Ashberger July 3, 1921 ~ November 4, 2011 Yvonne was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 4, 2011, with her family by her side. Yvonne was born July 3, 1921 in Snyder, NE to Will and Edna Fuller. She attended schools in Nebraska and after graduation from high school, she married Myrl George on March 24, 1939. Their daughter, Neoma, was born in 1939, and son, Philip, was born in 1941, in Nebraska. In 1942, they moved to Mt. Adams, WA. Their daughter, Diana, was born in 1943 in White Salmon, WA. In 1948, they moved to Orondo, WA, where she was very active in the community. She worked in the fruit industry for many years, was a member of Orondo Grange, Orondo Ladies' Club and the Orondo Community Church, where she taught Sunday school, Vacation Bible School and served on many task forces for the church. In later years, Yvonne opened her own house cleaning and painting business. She loved gardening, sewing, collecting rocks, fishing, cooking and, most of all, her family. In 1987, she married Howard Ashberger from Orondo. Howard and Yvonne continued to live in Orondo until 2002, when they moved to Wenatchee after her failing health forced them to give up their place on the ‘Y' in Orondo. Many people drove by that place and stopped to tell them how beautiful their flowers were. Yvonne and Howard enjoyed 24 wonderful years together. They traveled all over the U.S., visiting family and friends. They were the epitome of TRUE LOVE. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings; her husband, Myrl George, in 1983; and her son, Phillip George, in 1970. She is survived by her husband, Howard Ashberger; daughter, Diana and Cliff Mclean; grandchildren, Damon and Julie Johnston and their children, Tyler and Nolan; Brent Johnston and his children, Sophia and Claire; step-grandchildren, Mark and Shana McLean and their children, Jessica, Jennifer and Jared; Marlene McLean and Marshall and Diana McLean; daughter, Neoma and Thomas Young and grandchildren, Heidi and Roy Perez and their children, Devon, Joshua, Rueben and Raelyn, Timothy and Jamie Young and their children, Michael, Jacob and Nicholas; and step-son, Gary and Vonda Ashberger. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Blossom Creek Memory Care for their wonderful care of our Mom and Grandma. She was truly loved there, and thanks for keeping her skin so soft. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, November 10, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at the Orondo Cemetery, followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. at the Orondo Community Church. A Reception will follow at the church to share memories of Yvonne. Memorials may be made to the Orondo Community Church, Alzheimer's Research or the American Heart Association. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
