Description	:	The passing of Mrs. James Veinotte, Clearland, on May 22 took from its midst one of its oldest and highly respected citizens. Mrs. Veinotte had reached the age of 83 years on May 5. She was well and able to do her own housework, she being a lover of work, spent much time in knitting and making quilts. Read More	The passing of Mrs. James Veinotte, Clearland, on May 22 took from its midst one of its oldest and highly respected citizens. Mrs. Veinotte had reached the age of 83 years on May 5. She was well and able to do her own housework, she being a lover of work, spent much time in knitting and making quilts. In summer she spent considerable time in her garden in which she took a great interest, especially her flower garden. Mrs. Veinotte fell on February 15th, the effects of which caused her to be bedridden until her passing. She bore her sickness with great patience and put her hopes of recovery to the will and power of God, in whom she put great faith, always taking him as her Guide. She was an example to us who are left behind, being ever mindful of the sick and willing to lend a helping hand in time of trouble whenever and wherever such help was needed and many people remember her kind deeds. She was before her marriage Zibiah Ann Penny, of Upper Northfield, and was the last surviving member of her family of six children, whose parents died when she was yet a young child. She spent her entire married life of sixty-three years in Clearland, where she was highly respected. Her husband predeceased her three years ago. She is survived by seven children: William, of Cambridge, Mass.; Tom, Newton, Mass.; Cora, Boston, Mass.; Amy (Mrs. Frank Hart), Arlington, Mass.; Annie (Mrs. Walter Scott), Cambridge, Mass.; Jessie, Medford, Mass., and Wallace, at Clearland. A son, Harold, and a daughter Minnie, predeacesed her several years ago. There are also sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her funeral, which was largely attended, was held on May 25 from her late residence and was conducted by Rev. James Dauphinee of St. John's Lutheran Church of which she was a faithful member. Burial took place in the family lot in Clearland. The flowers were beautiful and were as follows. Casket Sprays - Tom, Bill, Jessie, Amy and Annie. Double Sprays - Wallace, Ruth and family; Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Whynot and Mrs. Josephine Whynot; Veenie Walsh and family; Rita, Wilson and Leslie; Clearland Social Club; Teachers and Pupils of Clearland School. Cross - Lillian Keddy. Bouquet - Mr. and Mrs. James Penny; William and Waity Veinotte. Card of Thanks - The family of the late Mrs. James Veinotte wish to thank all those who sent flowers and sympathy cards, and in any way sympathized with them in their recent bereavement.
