Description	:	One of the saddest deaths it has been the lost to The Review to record is that of Miss Zilpha Marguerite Cooney, which occurred at Cedar Falls, where Miss Cooney had been attending the state normal college, Tuesday afternoon at fifteen minutes past one o’clock. The cause of the death has not been cleared by friends here, who did not know Miss Cooney was sick until last Saturday, when her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cooney were called to her bedside. The cause of the death has not been cleared by friends here, who did not know Miss Cooney was sick until last Saturday, when her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cooney were called to her bedside. A time or two she was reported to be improving, but after a short struggle death came. The batter was brief and the end a shock. The body will be brought back to Villisca today accompanied by the father and mother. Nor arrangements for the funeral have yet been made. Miss Cooney was a little past 26 years of age. She was born near Scilla in Montgomery County, January 10, 1882 and half her life was spent there. She attended the Villisca High School and graduated there from in 1901. Then for a year she taught school in the vicinity of her home south of town, where thirteen years ago her parents moved. After that she was employed at Braddyville and three years were very successfully passed there. She would have graduated from the state normal college next June. She was an accomplished, intelligent, young lady, and had unnumbered friends, who are now grieved beyond measure at the news of her demise. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cooney who live three and one half miles south of Villisca, and one sister, Ethel, wife of Joseph W. Mitchell. Cooney and Alucinda Higgins. She died March 10, 1908 at the I.S.N. School in Cedar Falls, Black Hawk county, Iowa and is buried in the Villisca Cemetery.
