| Description | : | On May 5, 1967 the first known survey of this cemetery was completed by Dr. Allan E. Marble. Per his usual identification method, he did not give the cemetery a name. Instead, he identified it by a number, in this case 114, and mistakenly gave the location as Clarence. At a later date, Genweb volunteers transcribed Dr. Marble's original survey notes and made them available online at Rootsweb. At that time, the volunteers gave the cemetery the name "Banks Cemetery" and used the location Dr. Marble had noted, Clarence, rather than the correct community name, which is Clarence East.
