At a later date, Genweb volunteers transcribed his survey notes and made them available online at Rootsweb. Read More	In the late 1960s to early 1970s, Dr. Allan E. Marble surveyed the majority of cemeteries in Annapolis County. At a later date, Genweb volunteers transcribed his survey notes and made them available online at Rootsweb. However, this cemetery was not surveyed by Dr. Marble nor was it posted to the Rootsweb cemetery listings. The only surviving stone in this cemetery is that of Isaac Foster, the man who donated the land that the church stands on. In the early 1990s, Val Partridge visited the Foster Burial Ground and took a few photos, which she then shared with local cemetery researcher, Steve Skafte. In one photo, showing a portion of an orchard (see cemetery photo gallery), Val said she was standing right beside Isaac Foster's headstone, which was laying flat on the ground. There were also two other stones close to Isaac's headstone, both also flat to the ground. Regarding the two other stones, Steve Skafte notes that "Three was the total anyone ever saw. #1 and #2 are the Foster headstone and footstone. #3 doesn't appear to be anywhere anymore. No one ever got a photo of it, or transcribed the carvings. Seems that it was likely destroyed, or broken into pieces too small to notice, because it was never found on the field line. The closest anyone got (as far as I know) was Val Partridge. In her photo [see the photo gallery of Isaac Foster's memorial], you can see: #1 Foster footstone, #2 Foster headstone, #3 Unnamed stone that no one ever took the time to read, transcribe, or photograph closer. There may well be more, of course, but I've got nothing to confirm. If the location was still in place, I'd take a shovel and probe around." Sometime after Val Partridge took her photos, probably prior to the year 2000, the field behind the church was completely plowed under. It is all open now, as can be seen in Steve's Skafte's more recent winter photograph, used as a cover photo for this cemetery. Isaac Foster's headstone was plowed off the back field and left in three pieces on the rock wall field line. Denise J Rice, a local cemetery sleuth, visited the church in 2013, at which time Isaac's headstone, in three pieces, was located along the rock wall field line. A local heritage enthusiast and Deacon of the church, Avery Jackson, guided her the the location of the headstone along the field line. At a later date, Avery removed the headstone fragments and stored them inside the church. Isaac Foster's stone currently sits on the floor of the church next to the pulpit. His footstone is also safely housed within the church. Steve Skafte, accompanied by Avery Jackson, was at the Clarence United Baptist Church on May 3, 2022. At that time, he photographed Isaac Foster's headstone and footstone inside the church. Those photos are in the photo gallery for Isaac's memorial.
