Description : The cemetery is located on the south side of Maple Avenue about 0.1 miles west of its intersection with Cross Brook Drive. In 1904, the Pewee Valley Cemetery assigned 11,275 square feet to the Commonwealth of Kentucky for use by the Kentucky Confederate Home for a Confederate Burying Ground. Eventually, 313 men, mostly inmates of the Home, were buried there. Today, it is the state’s only official burying ground for Confederate soldiers.
