Description	:	The cathedral in Regensburg is dedicated to St. Peter and the most important example of Gothic architecture in southern Germany. The first church at this location was built around 700 A.D., the diocese was created in 739 by St. Boniface. First cathedral like structure built in the 9th century with extensive additions in the 11th century. Burned down twice in 1156 and 1172 the cathedral is rebuilt and made even larger in the 13th century. Between 1514 and 1538 a cloister was added.
