Description : Located near the site of where a storage unit is currently (June 2017) being constructed. It was the second location for a poor farm in Lowndes County. It was established after May 1900. The land was sold to Lowndes County from C W Smith on 27 March 1900. The land was all of the land in Land Lot 11, Land District 11 south of the public road (Current US 41) The superintendent for many years was Hardy Christian. It is unknown when the County Poor Farm ceased operation.
