Description : The first known survey of this cemetery was done by Dr. Allan E. Marble on July 22, 1967. As was his custom, Dr. Marble did not name the cemetery, instead assigning it an identifying number, in this case 48, and a location, Granville Ferry. At a later date, Genweb volunteers transcribed Dr. Marble’s original survey notes and made them available online at Rootsweb, citing the cemetery name as "Mills Cemetery” and the location as Granville Ferry.
