Description	:	Skara burial chapel was in use in the years 1894-2006. In older times, the burials in Skara took place in a cemetery by Skara Cathedral, but were replaced by a new cemetery in 1825, which was built 200 meters southeast of the cathedral. In 1894, Skara burial chapel was built in the new cemetery according to drawings by A Johansson. In 2006, the funeral chapel was taken out of use and replaced by Marie's funeral chapel at Marie Cemetery. The cemetery where Skara burial chapel is located is now more called the Old Cemetery. Today, the chapel is no longer connected to the church and no funerals are held there, but instead the chapel is used for Charlie Theatre's activities (children and youth activities).
