Description : The Williams graves are found on Poole’s Island in the Chesapeake Bay, southeast of the southern point of the peninsula formed by the Gunpowder River and the Bush River, in Harford County, Maryland. In 1855, the two Williams brother were caught in a sudden snow squall that arose. Their ship capsized and sank in the freezing waters off Pooles Island.
