Description : The Resurrection of Our Lord Roman Catholic parish was founded in 1911 by Reverend Augustine L. Ganster. Upon his death in 1938, he was buried on the church grounds. Resurrection was one of the six Chester parishes that was closed and merged into the Saint Katherine Drexel parish in 1993. Upon the disestablishment of the church, Father Ganster's remains were disinterred and removed elsewhere. The church itself was demolished in 2007 and replaced with a pharmacy.
