Description : St. Peter’s Cemetery (1864 – 1981) originally covered 2.2 hectares, bounded by Main, Anzio, Falmouth, and Penznace Roads. In 1994, St. Peter’s Church announced its intention to sell the land to raise money for the purchase of housing for the local homeless. Approximately 3% of the property was reserved and placed in trust. Approximately 10,000 remains were exhumed, cremated, and placed in a central ossuary, along with approximately 2,700 monuments.
