Description	:	St Peter's Church (formerly Holy Trinity Church) is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Blackburn with Darwen. The church is a designated Grade II listed building and was built between 1827 and 1829 to a design by Thomas Rickman and Henry Hutchinson. The total cost of building the church was £6,786 (equivalent to £600,000 in 2019) with the church being consecrated on 13 September 1829. The original dedication was to the Holy Trinity, but this was changed to St Peter in 1972, when its parish was merged with two other parishes.
