Description : This is the Strowbridge/Trowbridge or Strobridge Family graveyard. Located on the Whitacre Farm near Siler. The Graveyard was established in 1774 by Rev. Samuel Trowbridge. The land was acquired by patent, about 400 acres in total. The Whitacre family bought the farm in 1850. The granite marker was placed in the cemetery by the Stobridge family in 1991 in hopes to protect this sacred ground from future development. The graves are marked with slate markers with no inscriptions.
