Description	:	Aaron Archie "Archie" Coulter was the seventh of 11 children of Archie Aaron Coulter & Ollie Fay Kurtz. He served in WWII and later was sheriff of Lake County, Montana, from 1963 to 1967. At the time of his death in 1971, he was sawmill foreman for the Dupuis Brothers Lumber Company. He was killed near Polson, Montana, when his pickup truck was struck head-on by a drunken driver. At the time of his death in 1971, he was sawmill foreman for the Dupuis Brothers Lumber Company. He was killed near Polson, Montana, when his pickup truck was struck head-on by a drunken driver. Five days after Pearl Harbor, Aaron Archie Coulter Jr., age 22, enlisted on December 12, 1941, at Missoula, Montana, in the United States Army Air Corps for the duration of the war plus six months. He was 68 inches tall, 156 pounds, and was a civilian carpenter. While in the Armed Forces, Archie married on 26 September 1943 at Stanford, England, to Mrs. Caroline Story (1908-1999), daughter of Charles Norbery & Ellen "Nellie" O'Neil; 2 sons: Aaron Kurtz Coulter & George Coulter. During Hitler's bombing of Britain, Caroline was sitting in a chair nursing baby Aaron when a Nazi shell whizzed through the room, barely missing the mother and child. Caroline also had two children by her first marriage: Ethelberga & George Story. Archie & Caroline's granddaughter Lisa Sheree Coulter died of a brain tumor at age six in 1975. She is buried at the foot of her paternal grandparents' graves at Lakeview Cemetery at Polson, Montana, #95750065. Her father was George Coulter.
