Lindeman - age 96, of San Antonio, TX, formerly of Pocahontas, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 in San Antonio, TX. Aaron George Lindeman was born January 1, 1915, in Pocahontas, Iowa. He was the son of Charles and Doris (Broderson) Lindeman. He graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1934. In 1939, he graduated from the USD in Vermillion, SD as a flying cadet. He served in the Army-Air Corps. In 1945, Aaron returned to Pocahontas where he operated a Ford Tractor Implement. Aaron married Dorothy Mae Hartman. In 1953, Aaron was called back to the Air Force. He served on various air bases in the United States and abroad. Dorothy Mae passed away in 1960. Aaron retired from the Air Force as a Major with over 30 years of service. In 1972, Aaron returned to Pocahontas where he farmed until 1977. He enjoyed traveling the states with his motor home. His mother Doris accompanied him until her death in 1986. In 1986, Aaron began wintering in San Antonio, TX. Survivors include his son, Charles A. Lindeman of Scottsdale, AZ and many cousins. Aaron was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy Mae and a brother, Robert Lindeman.
