In Spirit Lake, May 2d, of patalysis, Aaron McKinney, aged seventy-eight years. Aaron McKinney was born in Veteran, Chemung County, New York. He was married to Betsy Campbell in 1847. To this union were born four sons and three daughters, one son died in infancy, one son, Charles, resides in Montana and Samuel and John are residents of this place. The daughters are Mrs. Emma Snow and Mrs. Nora Adams of Reinbeck, and Mrs. Hallenbeck, of Sioux City. All the children were present at the last excepting the son living in Montana. The aged life companion was thus comforted in the hour of affliction by a family circle with but a missing link. Deceased served in the Civil War from 1861 to 1864. The family moved to Tama County in 1869 and to Spirit Lake about ten years ago. Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. A. Ellis and Rev. G. W.
