Description	:	Mrs. Henry Van Zee died at her home in Middleburg Monday morning after an illness of some six months. Mrs. Van Zee would have been 68 years old on the 14th of this month if she had lived. Mrs. Van Zee was born in 1864 at Pella, Iowa. Her maiden name was Artie Ver Ploeg. In 1881 she married Henry Van Zee at Pella. Three years after their marriage, they moved to Sioux County to a farm near Hull. Later they moved to the farm on which Mrs. Van Zee died. Mrs. Van Zee would have been 68 years old on the 14th of this month if she had lived. Mrs. Van Zee was born in 1864 at Pella, Iowa. Her maiden name was Artie Ver Ploeg. In 1881 she married Henry Van Zee at Pella. Three years after their marriage, they moved to Sioux County to a farm near Hull. Later they moved to the farm on which Mrs. Van Zee died. Thirteen children were born to this union. Eight of them are still living. Four of them died in infancy and one daughter died after her marriage to Robert Merritt some 16 years ago. Mrs. Van Zee is the sister of Mrs. Gerrit Hulstein, Mrs. R. C. Jongewaard, Mrs. John Vander Wilt, and Mrs. H. B. Wesselink. Gerrit Fikse is her adopted brother. She is the first on of the family to die with the exception of her parents. She is survived by her husband, children and many grandchildren. Sioux Center News 1932-03-03.
