Read More	Mrs. De Wild Laid To Rest At Hull Mrs. John De Wild, who died last week, Nov. 16, at 4:30 P.M., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L.R. Kooiker at Hull, was laid to rest at Hope cemetery, Hull, beside her husband and sons on November 20. Funeral services were held at the First Reformed church there, conducted by her pastor, the Rev. G.H. Douwstra, assisted by Rev. Jager, pastor of the American Reformed church. An exceedingly large attendance attested the esteem in which she was held and was fitting testimony of the love for a faithful friend, Mother De Wild, who was in many respects an example to all of a beautiful Christian life, ever seeking the welfare of others, her wonderful disposition and readiness to serve in times of need winning a host of friends. Her place will be hard to fill. Among those present from a distance at the services were Miss Alberta Kooiker of Holland, Mich., and John A. De Wild, Arthur Kooiker of Ames, and also a large delegation from Pella. Eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Koenraad Ver Ploeg and born near Pella on July 7, 1861, she was married to John De Wild on March 14, 1882, by Rev. Francis Rederus. They came to Sioux county a few years after their marriage and lived for a few years north of Sioux Center. For 25 years they lived on the "home place", three miles south of Hull where John De Wild died on January 26, 1921. Mrs. De wild made her home in Hull since 1924. Seven children survive: Mrs. Henrietta Wissink, Mrs. Pearl Kooiker, Conrad, Albert and Henry, Mrs. Alice Van Wyk and John De Wild, all of Sioux county. Also 15 grandchildren, besides one grand child who preceded her in death 6 years ago at the age of 3 months. Two children preceded her in death, Conrad, aged 5 years, 10 months, and Arthur, 9 years, 10 months. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. R. Jongewaard and Mrs. G. Hulstein, both of Sioux Center, and Mrs. H.B. Wesselink of Carmel. Also two step-sisters, Mrs. A. Ten Haken and Mrs. George Caswell, both of Hull, and one step-brother, William Bakker of Pella; also a foster brother, Gerrit Fikse. About three years ago she suffered from a stroke of paralysis that affected her right side and her power of speech, but not her mind. In the summer of 1936 she suffered from a severe heart attack, from which she rallied.
