April 28, 1910 - Rolfe Reveille - Abigal Eunice Shepard was born in St. Lawrence, St. Lawrence county, New York, January 30, 1843. Died in Havelock, Iowa April 19, 1910 at the age of 67 years, 2 months, and 17 days. She was married to G.H. Hinckley, November 6, 1864. To this union five children were born — Nellie, now Mrs. E.N. Potter of Rolfe; Florence, Mrs. Will Gilchrist of Pocahontas; Mamie and Willie, and one child died in infancy. All were present at the funeral. Mrs, Hinckley was one of the pioneer settlers, coming before 1880, and will long be remembered as an excellent neighbor and noted for her kindness and thoughtfulness in times of sickness and death, always ready with helpful hand and sympathy for all. The burial at the setting of the sun was very impressive. The following is in part the words spoken by Rev. F.P. Quick at the cemetery, so beautifully depicting the morning and evening of life....
