G.A. McKinley officiating. The beautiful and beloved hymns, "Old Rugged Cross", "Jesus, Lover of My Soul" and "God Will Take Care of You", were sung by a quartette comprising Mrs. W.E. Deur, Mrs. Earl Krouch, W.F. Brower and A.B. Canady. Mrs. G.A. McKinley was the pianist. Pallbearers were Lew Newby of Wall Lake, John, Henry and George Meyer of Odebolt and Will Kolbe and Fred von Ehwegen of Lake View, all of them brothers-in-law of the decedent except the last named. Interment was in the Wall Lake cemetery. Abraham Schulte, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arend Schulte, was born Feb. 1, 1863, at Wenover, Germany. At the age of four years, he came with his parents to the United States, settling in Grundy county, Iowa. After a few years, the family moved to Carroll county, and later to Sac county, where the decedent spent a long and useful life. On February 26, 1891, he was married to Miss Mary Meyer of Odebolt. This union was blessed with seven children, two of whom preceded him in death, one dying in infancy, and the other at eight years of age. Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children: Arend Schulte of Lake View; Mary, wife of L.C. Larson of Sac City; Kathryn, wife of Gilbert Herrig of Lake View, and George and Margaret at home. He is also survived by one gandchild, and by one brother, Charles Schulte of Sac City, and two sisters, Mrs. Lew Newby of Wall Lake and Mrs. Lena Hixson of Peoria, Ill. Mr. Schulte suffered his first stroke on October 16, 1936, and the second on Nov. 27th. Since that time he has been bedfast. At the time of his passig on May 3, 1937, he was 74 years, 3 months and 2 days of age. He will be greatly missed in the family circle and by a large number of other relatives and friends.
