Grossman, daughter of Watson and Mary Grossman, was born Nov. 14, 1869, and departed this life in the home of her son, Owen, one mile north of Angus, on June 13, 1953, at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 29 days. She was united in marriage to James B. DeVore on March 29, 1889. To this union four children were born: Roy, Owen, May and Ethel. Grossman, daughter of Watson and Mary Grossman, was born Nov. 14, 1869, and departed this life in the home of her son, Owen, one mile north of Angus, on June 13, 1953, at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 29 days. She was united in marriage to James B. DeVore on March 29, 1889. To this union four children were born: Roy, Owen, May and Ethel. Her husband and two daughters, May Ahrens and Ethel Melvin, preceded her in death. She lived most of her life in the Angus vicinity and was a faithful member of the Angus United Brethren Church. In 1942 she moved to Edgar and fellow-shipped with the Methodist people there. Her one joy was to be in the service of the Lord. She is survived by her two sons: Roy of Long Beach, Calif.; and Owen of Oak, Nebr.; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; two brothers, Morg of Edgar, Nebr., and Gus of Nelson, Nebr., other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 17, at 2 o'clock in the Angus United Brethern (sic) church (sic), the Reverend Harold J. Coates, Methodist pastor from Nelson, officiating.
