Description	:	Ada Paulina Juliana Schainost, daughter of Carl and Johanna Knuth, was born Febr. 12, 1892 at Ferney, S.D. In early childhood, she was brought to Jesus by the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. After due instruction in the cardinal doctrines of Holy Writ, she was confirmed in the Lutheran Church of Andover, S.D. later, the Knuth family moved to the western part of South Dakota and settled south of Cottonwood. On April 19, 1910 the deceased was united in holy wedlock with Mr. Joseph Frank Schainost, a new settler in that west river country. This union was blessed wtih 10 children, four... Read More	Ada Paulina Juliana Schainost, daughter of Carl and Johanna Knuth, was born Febr. 12, 1892 at Ferney, S.D. In early childhood, she was brought to Jesus by the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. After due instruction in the cardinal doctrines of Holy Writ, she was confirmed in the Lutheran Church of Andover, S.D. later, the Knuth family moved to the western part of South Dakota and settled south of Cottonwood. On April 19, 1910 the deceased was united in holy wedlock with Mr. Joseph Frank Schainost, a new settler in that west river country. This union was blessed wtih 10 children, four boys and six girls. From western South Dakota, the Schainost's moved to a farm four miles west of Bloomfield, Nebraska in 1911. In the fall of 1919 they came to their present home. She Schainost was a loving, faithful wife to her husband, a dear and caring mother to her children. She was loved and liked by her numerous relatives and by her many friends and neighbors. In May 1937 she became seriously ill. Her trouble was diagnosed as cancer of the breast. For many months, she suffered patiently, making numerous trips to Omaha for treatments. But despite all medical care, her condition grew gradually worse and last Sunday morning, April 10 at about 9 o'clock, the Lord called her from this vale of tears. The days of her earthly pilgrimage were 46 years, one month and 28 days. She leaves to mourn her departure, her grief stricken husband, four sons; Arnold, Orval, Carl and Stanley; six daughters: Stasie, Mrs. Leona Stenberg, Agnes, Velda, Dorothy and Arlene; her stepmother, Mrs. Carl Knuth of Cottonwood, S.D.; one sister, Mrs. Richard May of Andover, S.D.; two half brothers; Ernest and Melvin Knuth of Cottonwood, S.D.; four half sisters; Mrs. Othaniel Ames of Arlington, Wash., Miss Leona Knuth of Cottonwood, S.D., Mrs. David Peterson of Kadoka, S.D, Mrs. Ray Jacobs, Rapid City, S.D.
