Description	:	Adam Grant Rail Adam Grant Rail, son of Joseph and Sarah Rail, was born March 7, 1865, on a homestead near Birmingham, October 5, 1946 at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 28 days. On August 31, 1892 he was married to Gabriella Ratcliffe and to them were born three children, a son who died in infancy, and two daughters, Mrs. Ina Bell Standridge of El Cajon, Calif. and Mrs. Daisy Steiner of Chicago. Read More	Adam Grant Rail Adam Grant Rail, son of Joseph and Sarah Rail, was born March 7, 1865, on a homestead near Birmingham, October 5, 1946 at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 28 days. Besides his wife and daughters, he is survived by a grandson, Philip Williamson and a great-grandson, Philip Williamson, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Rail lived on the home place near Birmingham continuously, with the exception of one year, until Dec. 1, 1941, when they moved to their present home in town. Mr. Rail united with the Methodist church in his early twenties, joining at the White School house before the churuch (sp: church) in his community was built. He exemplified, faithfully and loyally the principles of Christian living and was an inspiration to all who came into contact with him. Funeral services were held at the Catcott Funeral Home Monday, October 7 at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. T.R. Crandall.
