Read More	Adam Noll, the son of Adam (7 June 1798 - 9 September 1887) and Susanna Hood, was born on 17 November 1830 in the village of Michelbach, Unterfranken, Bavaria, Germany. Adam's father (a cobbler by trade), mother, Adam, his brother Johann (John)(abt 1824 - ?) and sisters Marianne (19 Juanary 1837 - 4 December 1919), Eva (abt 1833 - 11 April 1911), Susanna (23 October 1828 - 26 December 1916) and Veronika (abt 1825 - ?) immigrated to the United States aboard the "Chilo", arriving at the port of Baltimore, Maryland on 20 August 1840. The family settled in the tiny village of Elysville, Howard County, Maryland. The village is located by the Patasico River and was a mill town with the homes and country store owned by the mill's owner. The majority of the people living there worked at the mill. Adam's last sister, Kate, was born on 15 March 1842. She died in 1920. Adam's father became the village shoemaker (cobbler) according to the 1860 US Census. The original village name of Elysville was later changed to Daniels. The mailing address today is Ellicott City, Maryland. September 1863 found Adam's father purchasing a log cabin and 11 acres plus 96 square perches of land for $1,125 from a Mr Charles Hill. His father then began farming and retained the farm until his death at which time it was deeded to his wife, Susanna. Young Adam married Wilhelmina (Mena) Doernte (1849 - 26 August 1871) on 15 November 1859. They had four children: Mary Jane (3 August 1862 - 1931), John Ferdinand (4 August 1864 - 1941), Julia Elizabeth (18 August 1869 - 21 February 1871), and Hart Benton (3 September 1870 - 1938). Adam became a naturalized US citizen on 2 November 1863. Following Wilhelmina's death in 1871, he married Sarah Ann Long (1834 - 1915) in 1883. They had no children.
