Description	:	Addison was born in Cortland County, New York. Two siblings were in the censuses between 1835 and 1846-Mary and Bernsom W.(aka Ransom) Allen; His parents Sylvester and Martha A. Allen moved sometime in 1850s to Henry County, Illinois. He married Eliza Richardson on December 25, 1861. They lived in Atkinson, Henry County, Illinois. Together their union was blessed with Edward, Roy, Carrie, and Fred W. The family moved early in the children's lives to Alexandria, Hanson County, South Dakota. He married Eliza Richardson on December 25, 1861. They lived in Atkinson, Henry County, Illinois. Together their union was blessed with Edward, Roy, Carrie, and Fred W. The family moved early in the children's lives to Alexandria, Hanson County, South Dakota. They lived on Eighth Street in the town/village. The children as adults gave him blessings with grandchildren-Hazel, Howard, Berniece, Mamie, Russell and Dorothy. Edward was not listed with family when arriving at South Dakota. Carrie Allen relocated/married with unknown of any offspring from her life. Roy married and remained in Alexandria with Addison and Eliza. Roy's wife tragically passed in 1926/he remarried later that year's end, and gave Addison a step grandchild -second marriage Margaret(Sage) as he was additionally blessed with family. Fred W. and Grandson Russell moved to Taucoma, Washington later in life. Dorothy(Stroup) married and moved to Iowa. Carrie(Tolivor) married and lived in Portland, OR. Fred W. married Maude Mcmaster, daughter of Mary Alice(Molly)Lowry Mcmaster and granddaughter of Mary McCann Lowry and the late Robert Lowry. Son Fred and daughter in law lived in Alexandria until late 1920s and then the family moved to Taucoma where grandson Russell had relocated. Grandchildren Russell, Fred W., Dorothy and Carrie and Mamie blessed Addison with his offspring. Berniece remained a spinster. Addison was preceded in death by baby grandson Howard Allen in 1901. His survivors mourned Addison's death with community members honoring memories of his and father Sylvester's long productive life in agriculture. Family from Wisconsin visited with (Fred), Maude/Mary Lowry Mcmaster families esp. Hazel Lowry sharing later with Colleen Lowry many memories on family through Aunt Gladys Lowry memiors/cousin Howe(Belle Lowry's son) togetherness.
