Daughter of Charlie Washington and Emma Katherine (Perkins) Nash, Adel was born in Leesville, LA on February 2, 1930. Adel was the last surviving member of the Nash family, having been displaced from what is now the current Rifle Range at Ft. Polk Joint Readiness Training Center. She is preceded in death by her father, Charlie Washington Nash; mother, Emma Katherine (Perkins) Nash; Wid Cryer, loving husband of 40 years; son and daughter-in law, David... Daughter of Charlie Washington and Emma Katherine (Perkins) Nash, Adel was born in Leesville, LA on February 2, 1930. Adel was the last surviving member of the Nash family, having been displaced from what is now the current Rifle Range at Ft. Polk Joint Readiness Training Center. She is preceded in death by her father, Charlie Washington Nash; mother, Emma Katherine (Perkins) Nash; Wid Cryer, loving husband of 40 years; son and daughter-in law, David Larry Cryer, Sr. and wife, Brenda Jean (Brumbelow) Cryer; granddaughter Jenny Del (Whitehead) Baker, 6 sisters and 5 brothers. Survivors include daughter Betty Marie Leger of Rosepine, LA; two sons, James Edward (Tammie) Cryer of Leesville, LA and Billy Luzon Cryer of Leesville, LA; as well as daughter-in-law Luauna (Easley) Cryer of Rosepine, LA; and lifetime friend, Charles Martin Snyder of Leesville, LA. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren, many cherished and loving nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews and a host of friends. Adel and Wid owned and operated Tiger Den Restaurant in Belton, TX until their retirement in 1982 when they returned to their place of birth. Both drove buses for the Vernon Parish School District. Adel was also a licensed Reflexologist for many years until permanently retiring in 2015. Always active, Adel loved to garden and cook. Loving memories will be had by everyone she welcomed into her home for her chicken and dumplings. Adel's caring and loving nature will be missed by each life she touched while humbly serving in the community. The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to them during this hour of bereavement. May God Bless and Keep Each of You! Pallbearers: Grandsons Michael Cryer; David Cryer, Jr.; great grandson Brendon Cryer; Great Nephews Dicky Fetting, Justin Hinkel and Dylan Hinkel.
