Description	:	Funeral services for David Larry Cryer, Sr. 59, of Leesville, LA will be held Saturday, January 16, 2010, 10 am at Rosepine United Pentecostal Church in Rosepine, LA, Rev. Gary Bankson officiating. Burial will follow at Rosepine Cemetery, Masonic Lodge #290 officiating over the graveside Masonic Rites. Visitation will be held Friday, January 15, from 3 pm to 7 pm at Rosepine United Pentecostal Church. Son of Wid and Adel (Nash) Cryer, David was born Nov. 24, 1950, in Leesville, LA. David passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville from a massive heart attack. He returned to his birthplace in 1992 and was active in the community. David especially loved helping family, friends and the elderly. David was always in a hurry. He dearly loved his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Luauna Cryer of Leesville; one son, David Larry Cryer, Jr., Brazoria TX; one daughter, Melissa Jean Shipman and husband Larry, Clute, TX; one step-son Toby Lavender and wife Jessica, Wichita Falls, TX; two step-daughters, Lana Rutland and Candice Allen, Jacksonville, FL; mother, Adel (Nash) Cryer-Swain and husband, James Leon, Rosepine, LA; two brothers, James Edward Cryer and wife Tammie of Leesville, LA; Billy Luzon Cryer of Freeport, TX; sister, Betty Marie Cryer of Burleson TX; two step-brothers, Gary Swain and wife, Frances of Ottis, LA and Scott Swain and wife Sherre of Deville, LA; seven grandchildren, three uncles, four aunts and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: Alton Peavy, Leslie Peavy, Matt Peavy, Larry Shipman, Chuck Snyder and John Varner. Honorary pallbearers: Larry Cissna, Bobby Easley and Kenny Easley. David was preceded in death by his father, Wid Cryer and first wife Brenda Jean (Brumbelow) Cryer. Funeral services and arrangements under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home, DeRidder, LA.
