Read More	Obituary on Page 1 of The North Bend Eagle, published in North Bend, Nebraska on Thursday, January 6th, 1944: Mrs. Adeline Orendorff - As the old year was swiftly drawing to a close and the rays of the late, afternoon sun cast long shadows, death came to claim Mrs. Adeline Orendorff, who made her home with her son, Eldon Orendorff and family. Mrs. Orendorff had been in failing health for a long time. Two days prior to her death lobar pneumonia developed and no hopes were held for her recovery. Adeline Cecelia Barber was born in Wisconsin, December 1, 1870, and died December 31, 1943. Her age at death was 73 years and 29 days. She was a daughter of Isaac and Sarah Garner Barber, both of whom passed away many years ago. On December 1, 1885, she was united in marriage to Isaac Morgan Orendorff. To this union were born eleven children. Two daughters, Cora and Susie, died in infancy. Mrs. Irene Nelson died August 27, 1927. The surviving children are Mrs. Lee Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; Mrs. Will Hubbard of Alcester, George of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; Mrs. Florence Jeffers of Salem, Oregon; Ben F. of Pasadena, California; Mrs. Louis Koch of Waynesville, Missouri; Frank of Lincoln, and Eldon of North Bend. Thirty-two grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive her. Mr. Orendorff died December 20, 1034. Funeral services conducted by Rev J. L. Cottrell were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the United Presbyterian church. Mrs. H. C. Diffey at the pipe organ played the processional and recessional, and her daughter, Miss Shirley Diffey, played the organ accompaniment for her as she sang, "In the Garden," and "Abide with Mo." The pall bearers were Charles Bliss, Arthur Bliss, William Howell, Harold Howell, Paul Entorllne and Albert Buchholtz. Among those who came from a distance to attend the funeral were Mrs. Mattie Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, la., Mr. and Mrs. Louis Koch and family of Waynesville, Missouri, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Howell and family of Fremont, Mrs. Lena Kiser of Omaha, and Frank Orendorff of Lincoln. Mrs. Irene Barber, a sister-in-law, Irvin and Marie, arrived from Tulsa, Oklahoma too late to attend the funeral.
