She moved to Nuckolls county (sic) with her family and was married to Robert W. Blackwood in 1885. To this union seven children were born. Her husband and two sons preceded her in death. Mrs. Blackwood lived in this locality for many years before moving to Sacramento in 1935, where she has since resided. She was a member of the Christian church. Surviving are her children, Annie Snider and Nellie Kauffman of Sacramento, Laura Kennedy of Tallahasse (sic), Fla., W. Thomas Blackwood of Escondido, Calif., and Henry Blackwood of Courtland, Kan.; two sisters, Lettie Heckler of Temple City, Calif., and Ethal Sampson of Sacramento; one brother, Frank of Tacoma, Wash.; 24 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
