Kluck, 88, Schuyler Rt. 2, died Wednesday at Schuyler Memorial Hospital where he was a patient for two weeks. A retired farmer, he was a lifetime resident of Colfax and Platte counties. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, Shell Creek, with Rev. L.E. Mortensen in charge. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Son of the late Julius and Rosine Ranthun Kluck, he was born Dec. 16, 1881 in Colfax County and attended School at District 23. He married Marie Heibel on Oct. 21, 1903 at St. John Lutheran Church, Shell Creek, of which he was a lifetime member. The family suggests memorials to the church. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Elvin (Irene) DeBower of Schuyler; two sons, Edwin Sr., of Richland and Raymond of Schuyler; seven grandsons; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Smith of Spearfish, S.D., and Mrs. Mary Spankey [sic] of St. Louis. His wife died in 1955. Also preceding him in death were an infant son; three sisters, Mrs. Emil Block of Fremont and two as children; two brothers, William of Richland and Herman of Clarks.
