Description	:	Mrs. Agnes Marie (Buller) Haury, daughter of Benjamin J. and Susie (Unruh) Buller, was born on December 5, 1922 at Halstead, Kansas. She lived in the Halstead community all her life expect for a brief period of time when the family lived in Galva, Kansas, She received her elementary education in Halstead and one year of High School in Galva, Kansas. Read More	Mrs. Agnes Marie (Buller) Haury, daughter of Benjamin J. and Susie (Unruh) Buller, was born on December 5, 1922 at Halstead, Kansas. She lived in the Halstead community all her life expect for a brief period of time when the family lived in Galva, Kansas, She received her elementary education in Halstead and one year of High School in Galva, Kansas. At the age of 13 she was striken with rheumatic fever. This disease left its harmful effects in the form of a weakened and defective heart. This condition remained with her for the rest of her life, interrupting her schooling, limiting her activites, and often confining her to the hospital. In spite of her physical ailment and handicap she remained always cheerful, and bore her sufferings patiently with a view on the bright side of life and optimistic outlook on all things. Her confinement to the hospital was most always borne with a smile. As her condition gradually grew worse she submitted to heart surgery in a hospital in Denver. Colorado on July 26 1960. From this surgery she never recovered, passing away on Thursday morning, July 28, 1960. In spite of her condition she was able to enjoy a fairly normal life, though handicaped life. On December 10, 1943, she was united in marriage to Donald Walter Haury by Pastor David C. Wedel. The couple made their home on a farm near Halstead. To this union two children, one son and one daughter, were born. On September 26, 1945 she was baptzed by the Pastor David C. Wedel and received into the membership of the first Mennonite Church of Halstead. Of this church she remained a member until the time of her death. She is preceded in death by her father who passed away on June 27, 1958. She leaves to mourn her departure: Her husband; one son - Donald Walter Jr., age 15 and - daughter Kristin Marie age 6; two sisters Elizabeth Unruh of Halstead and Gladys Spencer of Newton; three brothers Jake Buller, Fred Buller and Eugene Buller all of Halstead. Agnes is remembered fondly by all her family. She is remembered for her kindness to all and for her baking and cooking. She is missed so much by all who knew her. Her memory will live forever in the hearts of those who knew her and loved her.
