Description	:	Susie Unruh Buller, was born on a farm near Halstead, Kansas, August 7, 1895. She was the daughter of Benjamin and Eva Becker Unruh. During the Cherokee Strip Run she and her family moved to the the Goltry, Oklahoma vicinity. She lived there during her youth. Susie Unruh and Ben J. Buller were married August 16 1913, in Enid, Oklahoma. They lived in Oklahoma for a brief time after which they moved to Montezuma, Kansas. Read More	Susie Unruh Buller, was born on a farm near Halstead, Kansas, August 7, 1895. She was the daughter of Benjamin and Eva Becker Unruh. During the Cherokee Strip Run she and her family moved to the the Goltry, Oklahoma vicinity. She lived there during her youth. Susie Unruh and Ben J. Buller were married August 16 1913, in Enid, Oklahoma. They lived in Oklahoma for a brief time after which they moved to Montezuma, Kansas. They settled to the Halstead Community where Ben worked as a carpenter and built many homes, barns and other buildings. Six children were born to them: three sons - Jake, Fred and Eugene; and three daughters - Elizabeth, Gladys and Agnes. Many have eaten at Susies table. She always was able to provide a meal even on short notice. She was a great gardener and canned very much for the entertaining she liked to do. The most memorable is the Sunday dinners she regularly had with the family. She cared deeply for family and enjoyed having family and friends at her house. Susie joined the First Mennonite Church of Halstead on September 3, 1961, of which she remained a faithful member until her death. Her faith was evident in her charitable nature and good hearted spirit. The family wishes to pay tribute to their mother for her care, love and concern for them. She worked hard and provided well for the family, yet she worried over not wanting to be a burden to her children at any time. She died March 26, 1985. She was preceded in death by: her husband in 1958, her daughter, Agnes (Mrs. Donald Haury, Sr,) her daughter, Elizabeth (Mr. Roy Unruh ) a grandson Michael Buller, four brothers - Ed, Odes, Albert, Ben and two sisters, Mary Krebs and Sarah Kahn. Survivors are: Jake and wife of Eugene, Oregon Fred and wife of Halstead, Kansas Glady and Husband, Donald Spencer, of Newton, Kansas Eugene and wife of Eugene, Oregon 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and one sister, Hilda Koehn, of Moundridge, Kansas.
