Agnes Warnke Perlenfein was born at Pierce, Nebraska, July 13, 1906 to Anton and Mathilda Warnke and passed from this life December 25, 1968 at the age of 62 years at the Gregory Community Hospital. She was baptized into the Catholic faith at Pierce, Nebraska and was later confirmed at Butte, Nebraska where she moved as a small child with her parents. She grew to young womanhood on their farm near Butte. On December 3, 1928 she was united in marriage to Henry Perlenfein in Omaha, Nebraska and to this union three children were born; Donna, Mrs. Saylor Stanton of Herrick; Marvin of Loveland, Colorado and Norman of Rochester, Minnesota. Agnes and Henry Perlenfein began their married life in Spencer, Nebraska and in 1929 moved to Bonesteel where Henry was in the Chevrolet Garage business until his retirement in 1964. Agnes was a loving wife and mother and an active member of the community. She was a good and religious woman who raised her children and served her family and community accordingly. She took an active part in many community organizations and projects, one of the first of which was the hot lunch program at the school, sponsored by the P. T. A. She served in an official capacity in the Altar Society, Woman's Club, Sunnyside Extension Club, and was a member of the Legion auxiliary. She worked untiringly at their many projects, one of which was the library, sponsored by the Woman's Club where she fully enjoyed working as librarian for many years until failing health forced her to retire. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Henry, her children, Donna, Marvin and Norman, five grandchildren, four brothers and four sisters, plus a host of other relatives and friends who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, and older sister, and infant sister, two infant brothers and a grandson.
