Description	:	Funeral services for Albert (Jim) Boelter were conducted at 2 p.m. April 14, 1984, at the ZCBJ Hall in Verdigre, Nebraska. Brockhaus Funeral Homes was in charge of the services. Rev. Howard Ware officiated. Mrs. Phyllis Dow accompanied Bernard and Wayne Strope who sang "Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset." Pallbearers were Harold Parks, Jr., Edward Parks, Arlee Waring, Allen Boelter, Arnold Miller, and Maurice Parks. Burial was in the Grimton Cemetery, north of Orchard, Nebraska. Albert Arlee Boelter, the oldest son of Arthur and Hattie (Butterfield) Boelter, was born October 3, 1908, at Walnut, Nebraska. He passed away at the Creighton hospital on April 11, 1984, at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 8 days. He suffered several heart attacks in the last few years, but was always happy and kept his sense of humor through it all. He spent his entire life on a farm in the Walnut and Venus communities and attended the Walnut School. On October 1, 1936, he was united in marriage to Fern Parks. To this union four sons were born: Vernon Duane, Henry Arthur, Merle Eugene, and Albert Lee. They began and ended their entire married life on the family farm where Albert grew up. They lived on several farms in the Walnut and Venus communities, never farther than eight miles from his birth-place. Albert, an avid sports fan, played baseball practically all his life. After his career ended, he took an interest in his sons' sports and never missed a game that they participated in. He loved to farm and always had a number of cattle to care for. Albert had friends far and wide and loved to have company. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his passing , his wife, Fern: one son, Merle, and wife, Mary; six grandchildren: Wade, Julie, Jean, and Christine at home, Teresa and Garry Nielsen of Niobrara, Laurie and Clement Wagner of Orchard: three great grandchildren: Jesse and Joshua Wagner and Derek Nielsen: a former daughter-in-law, Carolyn, & James Wilcox, their three sons; Randy, Russell, and Regan of Norfolk; two sisters: Mrs. Myrtle Miller and Mrs. Gerald (Evelyn) Waring of O'Neill: nine nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sons: Vernon, who died in 1963 following a tractor accident, and two infant sons who died at birth; two brothers, Ernest who died in 1968 and Wayne, who died in 1961.
