Description	:	Funeral Services for Fern Boelter, age 89, formerly of Verdigre, will be held Thursday, April 10, 2008, at 10:00 A.M. at Brockhaus Funeral Chapel in Verdigre. Pastor Loran Parks will officiate with burial in Grimton Cemetery in rural Walnut, NE. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Chapel. She died Monday, April 7, 2008, at the Golden Living Center in O"Neill, NE. Fern Boelter Fern Boelter, the youngest child of Henry O. and Bertha M. (Ogan) Parks, was born on a farm northeast of Foster, NE on April 27, 1918. She passed away April 7, 2008. She moved with her family to a farm northeast of Page, NE in the spring of 1920 where she lived until the spring of 1936, when they moved to a small farm on the west edge of Page. She attended a rural school north and east of Page, known as the Maxfield School, through the eighth grade. She then worked for several families in the neighborhood doing general housework. She attended the Methodist Church at Page for several years. She was united in marriage to Albert Boelter of Walnut, NE on October 1, 1936. They lived and farmed on several places in the Walnut and Venus communities, and in 1968 they bought and moved on to the farm where Albert grew up, and lived there until his death on April 11, 1984. She then moved to O'Neill, NE. To this union were born four sons. Fern leaves to mourn her passing, her loving companion of many years, Geroge Reicke; one son Merle and his wife Mary Ellen of Verdigre; six grandchildren, Wade Boelter and wife Kris of Dwight, NE, Teresa Nielsen and husband Garry of Niobrara, Laurie Wagner and husband Clement of Center, NE, Julie Dvorak and husband Dale, Jean Dather and husband John, and Christine Vakoc and husband Greg, all of Verdigre; great grandchildren, Derek Nielsen and wife Tabatha, Creston Dvorak, Anthony Vakoc, Adele Nielsen and fiancé Jesse, Jared Dather, Chance Nielsen and fiancé Jessica, Justin Dather, Jesse Wagner and fiancé Lance, Lance Vakoc, Joshua Wagner and wife Jenny, Courtney Vakoc; great-great grandchildren, Rowdy Nielsen, Payten Nielsen, Jordan Wagner, and Allie Partridge; and George's five daughters and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert; sons, Vernon, Henry, and Albert Lee; her parents; 9 brothers; and 5 sisters.
