He had been a sufferer of diabetes for the past five years and had been seriously ill for about three weeks. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Midway. Albert Sands was born January 11, 1892, on a farm near Danbury and passed away October 30, 1937, aged 45 years, 9 months and 19 days. He married Miss Minnie A. Roggatz December 23, 1913. They farmed near Danbury for nine years and in 1922 moved to their present farm five miles southeast of Correctionville. He is survived by his widow, Minnie A., his aged mother, Mrs. Ernestina Sands, seven brothers, George, Carl, Robert and Otto of Danbury, John and Erwin of Anthon and Henry of the state of Louisiana, two sisters, Mrs. John Thomsen of Danbury and Mrs. Frank Burow of Battle Creek. His father, one brother and two sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services were conducted at the Lutheran Church at Midway Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in charge of his pastor, Rev. Gottberg. Interment was made at Midway Cemetery under direction of Wilson-Hull Service.
