Description	:	Albert A. Streeter, 95, a retired manager, died April 22, 1998 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis MA after a brief illness. He was the son of Albert Austin Streeter and Martha H. Voight Streeter. Born and raised in West Springfield, he graduated from West Springfield High School in 1920, where he was a track star. He was the son of Albert Austin Streeter and Martha H. Voight Streeter. Born and raised in West Springfield, he graduated from West Springfield High School in 1920, where he was a track star. He moved to Centerville MA in 1971 and then to Hyannis in 1983. For 51 years Mr. Streeter worked for the United States Envelope Co. in Springfield, now known as Westvaco Corp. He started as an office boy after school during his high school years, rising to the position of manager of the order department. He retired in 1967. In Springfield, Mr. Streeter was active in the First Baptist Church, the Mitteneague Community Association, and the Lions Club. He served with the West Springfield Civil Defense during World War II. While on the Cape, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hyannis, where he served as deacon for many years. He enjoyed softball, bowling, gardening, and reading. He was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Grace I. (Stoughton) Streeter, in 1997, and his son James Streeter. Surviving are his daughter Sally Greene of Barnstable MA; sister Barbara Armagost of Medina NY; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. (obituary from the GenLookups website)
