Steiner, 57, of Near Emerson—Prominent Mason— Burial There Albert Bert Steiner, son of Mr.and Mrs. Samuel Steiner, was born March 21, 1880, in Lincoln town and passed away December 14, 1937, in Montgomery county, Iowa at his home five miles north of Emerson, at the age of 57 years, 8 months and 24 days. On September 17, 1905, he was united in marriage to Gayle Estella Oaks and to them were born six children, four boys and two girls. Those who mourn his parting are his faithful wife, Mrs. Gayle Estella Steiner, four children, Kelly, Champ and Dean, of Emerson, Ia., and Mrs. Bernice Lynn of Omaha, Neb. Two children, Gladys and Albert preceded their, father in death. There are also four grandchildren. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Wm. Mary Stuart of Council Bluffs, la., Richard Steiner of Red Oak, la., Miss Kathryn Viner, Samuel and Verne Steiner of Emerson, Ia., Harry Steiner of Omaha, Neb., as well as many friends. Mr. Steiner was a successful farmer, a man who loved and was devoted to his family. He was revered by his neighbors and acquaintances. He was a member of the Masonic lodge. Funeral services were held from the home Thursday afternoon, Dec. 16 at 2:00 p.m. and in charge was Rev. J. F. Stille, pastor of the First Baptist church of Emerson, who was assisted by Rev. L. E. Ripley of the Emerson M. E. church. Music was furnished by Robert Honeyman, Mrs. John Thorson, Mrs. Everett Whisler, Fritz Larson,piano. Pallbearers were: Byron with Mrs. Robert Honeyman at theViner, Mervin Slump, Kenneth Bee, Gordon Steiner, Curtiss Steiner and Howard Dodson. Interment was made in the Emerson cemetery.
