Description	:	Obituary: Brunswick—Albert Corey Johnson, age 84, died at his home Thursday January 15, 2009. He was born January 21, 1924 on Orr's Island, a son of Albert E. and Bessy E. Wilson Johnson. He attended local schools and married Jeannette Leighton in Brunswick on December 20, 1946. Mrs. Johnson died March 13, 2006. He withdrew from school to earn money for his family clamming, hauling gravel and operating other heavy equipment on Orr's and Bailey Islands. He attended local schools and married Jeannette Leighton in Brunswick on December 20, 1946. Mrs. Johnson died March 13, 2006. He withdrew from school to earn money for his family clamming, hauling gravel and operating other heavy equipment on Orr's and Bailey Islands. He used his experience during WWII building runways in India while serving in the US Army. Later, he worked for the Brunswick Naval Air Station as a heavy machine operator for 29 years within a 33 year career of civil service.
