Clark an old resident of the county and this city, an owner of a restaurant business at 25 North Center St. died at ten o'clock this afternoon at the country farm where he had been ill since November. Mr. Clark was 69 yeas old and was a native of Pennsylvania. His parents Mr. and Mrs. George V. Clark, came to this state fifty -six years ago, settling in Scott county, and moved to this county fifty years ago, settling on a farm... Clark an old resident of the county and this city, an owner of a restaurant business at 25 North Center St. died at ten o'clock this afternoon at the country farm where he had been ill since November. Mr. Clark was 69 yeas old and was a native of Pennsylvania. His parents Mr. and Mrs. George V. Clark, came to this state fifty -six years ago, settling in Scott county, and moved to this county fifty years ago, settling on a farm in the Bash neighborhood in Liscomb Township, eight miles north of this city. Mr. Clark took as his wife Miss Mary E. Bash, a daughter of the late Henry Bash. Mrs. Clark was with insanity and for years hopelessly demented. She passed away at the county hospital in 1900. Two years after his wife's death Mr. Clark took a second wife, in the person of Mrs. Harriet Plumb of this city who died two years later. Mr. Clark is survived by two sons Le Roy and Everett Clark both of this city . The latter is employed by the Bryan Paving Company of Waterloo. George Clark of Texas and Daniel Clark of Casper Wyoming are brothers of Mr. Clark The arrangement for the funeral has not been definitely made, and burial will be at Riverside, and probably Saturday .
