Read More	Albert George Hoheisel 1929 - 2019 OSWEGO, KS: Albert George Hoheisel, age 89, passed away Thursday evening at Oswego Health and Rehab. Albert was born August 24th, 1929 in Garden Plain, Kansas. His parents were Henry Albert Hoheisel and Rose Elizabeth (Lentz) Hoheisel. He was raised on a farm near Hallowell. He graduated from Columbus (KS) High School with the class of 1948. Albert worked several jobs throughout his life, including working as an electrician on Big Brutus, working at the Kraft Cheese plant, Katy railroad, and repairing TVs in Oswego and the surrounding area. He also owned and operated A&D TV in Oswego. He retired from working for the Parsons Ammunition Plant. He was also proud to serve his country as a mechanic in the US Army during the Korean war and was a past councilman for the city of Oswego. His hobbies included tinkering with electronics, computers, and helping with the opening of the Big Brutus Museum. He was also a member of the VFW and was a 4-H Leader. On April 25th, 1954 Albert married the love of his life, Dolores Powell in McCune, Kansas. Dolores survives. Albert was preceded in death by Henry Hoheisel, Leonard Hoheisel, Joann Hoheisel, Eugene Hoheisel, and Rose Marie Schertz. Albert is survived by his spouse Delores, his two daughters, Carolyn Hays (David), of Yukon, Oklahoma and Karen Savage (Ken), of Rudy, Arkansas, his sister Marie Eden (James) of Dewey Oklahoma, four grandchildren, Zach Hays (Wendy), Holly Hays, Kendra Savage, Kurt Wesley Savage, and one great grandchild, Nova Dean Hays. A service will be held Tuesday, March 5 at 11 AM in the chapel of Derfelt Funeral Home of Oswego. Phillip Hays will officiate. A graveside service will be held afterward at McCune (KS) cemetery. The family will be welcoming friends from 6 PM to 7 PM on Monday, March 4th at Derfelt Funeral Home of Oswego. Donations may be made to the Big Brutus Museum.
