Read More	OBIT: Albert Haberman, 59-year-old retired Badger Pocket farmer and a Kittitas Valley native son, died of a heart attack early this morning in his parked automobile on the Vantage Highway east of here. In ill health with heart trouble for several years, Haberman last night had attended a wedding reception at the home of a long-time friends, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Boersma, following the marriage of their daughter, Miss Ella Rosalyn Boersma to Capt. Fred Barrett. He left the Boersma home about midnight to drive to the home of his sister, Mrs. George Rollinger on the Brick Road, where he resided. About 6 o'clock this morning, George Meilander saw Haberman's automobile standing beside the highway in front of his resident with the motor still running. Upon investigation he found Haberman dead in the front seat. It is presumed he pulled to the side of the highway when he suffered an attack. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Haberman, valley pioneers, he was born here August 21, 1893 and had lived here all his life. He graduated from Ellensburg High School and was a student at Washington State College when he enlisted in the armed forces during World War I and served two years with the 57th Aerial Squadron. He had farmed in the valley since his return from the service until he retired several years ago. He was one of the veterans who drew a homestead under the High Line Canal in Badger Pocket and had farmed there from the time water went on the land in the early 1930s. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Kittitas Lions Club. His wife, the former Helen Hartman, died in January, 1942. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Rollinger and Mrs. Othelia Hoppicks of Seattle, and five brothers, Frank Haberman of Salem, Ore., and Nick, John, George, and Martin Haberman of Ellensburg. Two other brothers, Rudolph and William Haberman preceded him in death. A rosary service will be held at St. Andrew's Catholic Church Monday at 7:30 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at St. Andrew's Tuesday at 9 a.m. with Father Luyten in charge. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Heart Fund.
